Activity is improving. Price confirmation is still pending.

June sales increased while new listings declined, tightening conditions from a weak base. Prices and the HPI remain below last year, so this is an early improvement signal — not yet a confirmed rebound.

Read this

Sales up while listings fall is how a market tightens. Prices often respond after activity, so a softer benchmark alongside rising sales is consistent with possible stabilization — not a confirmed price floor.

Methodology — All public transaction indicators use verified, Published Supabase records for All TRREB Areas. The MLS HPI series is versioned separately in Supabase because an index is less sensitive to the mix of homes sold than the monthly average price. Month-over-month figures are unadjusted unless explicitly labelled otherwise; year-over-year compares the same calendar month. Economic charts reproduce the report-vintage context published by TRREB: Prime Rate, CPI and real GDP are Canada-wide; unemployment is Toronto. GDP is quarterly; the other economic series are monthly. Information only; not financial advice.
